Critical Race Theory (CRT), Integrated Comprehensive System (ICS) for equity.... All in for all...

What is CRT? What is ICS for equity engineered right here in Wisconsin, engaged in by the current board and administration since 2012? Now new term being weaved to push diversity, equity, and inclusion under CRT and ICS ideologies are being termed ALL IN for all. Pay attention. How many times did you hear the word ALL IN at the candidate forum (Feb 7th, 2022) by my opponents? Do you know the type of surveys being introduced to our children in schools under the banner of wellness and for social emotional learning?
We should know. We should ask.
If we, the adults are afraid to ask because of our own discomfort or it just never occurred to us to ask the board or district leaders or teachers under public record requests, though curriculums and surveys should be transparent and forthcoming; or perhaps, it's because we never thought we could or should, there is no better time than Now.
Our angst of undesirable or desirable answers, should fuel and empower us to speak up on behalf of our own children and that of others who cannot speak up for themselves, to understand the challenges of the daily cultural influence of "gender, cultural, racial fitness" narrative, being woven into the fabric of our curriculum. We, the adults, have the responsibility to litmus test the "water of education" our kids are immersed in and subjected to every day. We all should have the moral courage to speak the truth, fix the broken, course correct deviations and absolutely celebrate our successes.
A very wise friend once told me, "In today's age of technology, ignorance is a choice". I have just begun to understand the waters of education, called school, my children have been subjected to swim in everyday.
Now I know. So I speak. So I ask. So I stand. Will you do the same?
